Beauty YouTubers

The video to follow is one that I created in my Advanced Writing Digital Controversies class that I took my sophomore year. My reflection about the course can be found here. This video compiled two of my interests, writing and film production.

The criteria for this project was to take an essay that we wrote of our choosing for the course, and to turn it into a digital story by combining images and our own written voice over narration. I learned the importance of my essay’s argument and persuasion by making sure to only include information when appropriate. I found this assignment to be challenging at first because I did not have an experience creating a digital story out of an academic essay. I addressed these challenges by learning the fundamental parts that make up digital storytelling and I combined my academic essay’s main points to transform my essay into a video.
