The Exam (Video)

I made this video in my Production I class that I took my sophomore year. The objective of this project was to create a video montage (compiled short clips) into a story. In this project I was assigned a partner, and we helped each other write, set up, film, and act. My partner used the same clips yet we edited and synced them with the music of our own individual choosing.

While creating this project, I realized the importance of lighting and sound in regards to the film making process. For this project, I chose sounds that would not normally be in a classroom environment, instead I added loud explosive sounds that “raised the steaks” for the main character. Only having around one minute of video to tell a story also taught me the importance and preciseness of each clip through sound, lighting, and cinematography.
